SPEED UP - PERMANENT WEIGHT LOSS
BY SLOWING DOWN - WITH MINDFUL EATING
How many diet plans does it take to convince a veteran dieter that for every diet there is an equal and compensatory binge complete with excess weight gain?
If the prospect of yet another diet seems discouraging, perhapes even hopeless, it's time to stop counting points, carbs, calories and try the most sane, most exciting alternative to dieting available today - eating mindfully!
Mindful eating has helped overeaters, from yo-yo dieters to binge eaters, feel their hunger, trust their taste buds and become deeply satisfied with the quality, rather than the quantity of food.
MINDFULNESS-BASED EATING AWARENESS TRAINING (MB-EAT) is a proven program developed to curb overeating as you cange your relationship to food. This 12-week MB-EAT group will cover the basics of mindfulness meditation and mindful eating. Participants will learn to practice mindfulness in formal seated meditation and mini-meditations that can be squeezed in to even the busiest schedule. Group members will also practice guided meditations to get in touch with hunger and fullness cues, and, ultimately, to gain more control over what, when, and how much they eat. Meditation practice will help curb obsessive food and body image thoughts.
